Which other joy matches the joy of homeownership?

As Elder Marvin J. Ashton rightly said, 

" a home should be an anchor, a port in a storm, a refuge, a happy place in which to dwell, a place where we are loved and where we can love.

Unfortunately, the joy of homeowners is always cut short by foul smells from sub standard plumbing works, high power consumption and electrical shocks as a result of faulty electrical wiring, poor ventilation and airconditioning and disfunctional fire detection and fire fighting systems.
